This project is located on historic agricultural land, surrounded by development. The design reflects the traditional homesteads once prevalent in this area along the Front Range. The primary examination and consultation building reflects a Colorado farmhouse aesthetic. The barn structure houses a treatment and animal ward, along with a chicken coop that also functions as an outdoor three-season exam space for animals that prefer not to be indoors. This client has a strong sustainability focus. We incorporated a geothermal mechanical system, on-site wastewater treatment, well water, and a 15-gigawatt photovoltaic solar system, allowing the facility to operate off-grid if necessary.
